Job Title: Medical Director Primary Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Director to oversee our Primary Care department. As a Medical Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare service to our patients. You will be responsible for managing medical resources, developing policies, optimizing the performance of the Primary Care team, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the Primary Care department's efficiency and patient satisfaction.
2. Oversees the clinical performance of primary care providers, ensuring adherence to established clinical guidelines and protocols.
3. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff.
4. Collaborate with the executive team to establish department goals, objectives, and performance indicators to drive quality improvement initiatives.
5. Review and analyze clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
6. Work closely with various departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and enhance overall patient experience.
7. Collaborate with the administrative team to create efficient operational processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Recruit, train, and manage the performance of primary care physicians and other medical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
9. Conduct regular meetings to provide updates, address concerns, and promote communication within the primary care team.
10. Stay abreast of the latest medical advancements, trends, and evidence-based practices, ensuring the integration of innovative approaches into the primary care setting.
11. Foster an environment of continuous learning, encouraging professional development and growth of primary care physicians and staff.
12. Represent the primary care department at meetings, conferences, and professional organizations to promote the organization and establish partnerships.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Board certification in a primary care specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics).
3. Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of employment.
4. Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a primary care setting.
5. Excellent clinical knowledge and expertise in primary care practices.
6. Strong organizational and project management skills.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with medical staff, administrators, and patients.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and healthcare information technology.
9. Experience in quality improvement initiatives and familiarity with healthcare regulations.
10. Ability to analyze data and use it to drive evidence-based decision-making.
11. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
12. Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate medical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
